Bio

Hi! My name is Miguel Almeida Alves (creative work name: Mike Semantics) and I'm a music producer, mixer, musician, composer, arranger, sound designer, audio post-production specialist, audio consultant, video post-producer, editor, cinematographer and writer from Lisbon, Portugal.

My academical background relies on the course of Musical Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Popular Music Production at ETIC/Solent University Southampton, consisted of a two-year HND (Higher National Diploma) and a one-year TOP UP english based education, along with a specialty professional course in Video Editing & Post-Production at LSD - Lisbon School of Design.

Professional experience in Audio Post-Production and its various sub-fields, such as stereo and 5.1 mixing, voiceover and dubbing editing for documentaries and series (clients like RTP and Netflix), sound editing and mixing for sound design projects (Corporate and Animation), as well as documentary mixing (clients like RTP), which allowed me to understand the audiovisual industry and value, even more, the importance of team work and active listening. In addition, I have experience in Session Recording, Music Production, Mixing, Composition and Arranging for individual clients as well as Live Performance as a singer/vocalist, lead guitarist and keyboardist.

I'm a curious and dedicated person with a great desire to help and collaborate with people on their musical and audiovisual projects. By being your producer, musician, sound designer and collaborator, my aim is to maximize your vision, song and/or audiovisual project, as well as to help companies and creatives, like yourself, to achieve your work's full potential!
